Hi everyone, I want to apologize for not posting anything on the blog for the whole week. I am back and everything will return to normal from today! I had a wonderful holiday last week. I hope all of you enjoyed the Olympic games and at the same time, had a chance to get a handbag for Fall season;)
I will be leaving town for a few days, but I will try my best to keep updating handbaggers and the blog. Everything will be back to normal next week. Hope you enjoy the Olympics!
About two months ago, my friend told me about a private, invitation-only site called, Ideeli. After entering the site with the special invitation code, you know what I saw? Attractive enough?! You are already invited! So take this advantage and come join us at Ideeli before the invitation code expires on 9/15/2008 (Mon).
The Prada Nappa S Shoulder Bag is one of the bags that I don’t like in the Fall Collection. Why? Let’s look at the bag and you will know. I am sorry but I have to say that. The “elephant ears” attached to the side of the bag and the plex made chain strap just dont match with the bag itself. I think the purse alone looks fine, but the other details make it look strange! The chain strap really downgrades the bag. Please tell me how you feel about the bag when it’s open! Please…Retails for $1695 at Saks. What a big disappointment from Prada!
Who don’t want to buy two bags for the price of one only? A reversible bag always allows us to enjoy such a benefit. However, this Chloe Leather Reversible Tote is an exception! One side of the bag is made of leather while the inside is multi-color canvas. The blue leather side is absolutely great, but the other side is totally a Nay! I wonder who would carry the bag with the colorful side facing up? Secured by a hidden magnetic snap, this Chloe bag is roomy enough to hold your personal items and is perfect for weekends. Available at shopbop for $695! Yes…it is $695. The bag is nice but I don’t think I will spend that much on it! Sorry…
My best friend, Angel, gave me a task to do today. She asked me to look for a beautiful yet affordable clutch for her. While I was browsing from one brand to another, I finally found the Newbury Clutch from Michael Kors. I believe she will LOVE this purse! What this clutch appeals to me is the simple design and the gold color. The shiny color in the snake-embossed metallic leather is really eye-catching! Other features include a Michael Kors logo plate and a magnetic snap closure at front flap. Interior is lined with a patch pocket. Dimensions: 5.5″H x 11″W x 1.5″D. Pre-order at Michael Kors website for less than $200. Do you think this is a pretty clutch at a reasonable price?

Most of us grew up with dogs, cats or birds, didn’t we? I wonder any of you grew up with lions, tigers or Crocodiles?! Adriana Castro is the one who has such a unique experience! Castro is a beautiful sweetheart who was born in Colombia. Having spent most of her childhood with her father on his crocodile’s farm, Adriana was fascinated about being designing handbags and accessories with the exotic skins of these creatures. She knows crocodiles and she has the knowledge to “utilize and combine as much of the creature’s skin and textures as possible,” Adriana said.
After getting her Bachelor Degree from Purdue University, Castro continued her studies in Accessory Design at Miami International University and started her designer adventure. Castro’s designs were recognized by the public soon after her first collection, Amazonia, was launched. Her collection has been featured in WWD, Vive, Ocean Drive, Daily Candy, Vogue Latin America and many more. Last year, Castro won the Fresh Faces in Fashion award for Accessory Design from GenArt.
Adriana aims to make elegant crocodile bags and accessories that everyone can carry. She pays a lot of attention to quality control and always travels to Colombia, where the bags are made, to make sure every bag is in excellent condition. For the Fall collection, she will name each of her bag by a star of the constellation and will emphasize the use of metallic and night-sky deep blue. I love Castro’s bags not only because they are made of fine crocodile skins, but also the design of the bags, which are easy to wear with anything in your closet!
